Short-term social care services

Short-term social care includes a whole set of services that offer complex care to those requiring constant special care. Short-term social care services are offered to elderly people who have been identified as having high-level special needs, as well as to people with mental or psychiatric disorders identified as having reduced work capacity of 0-40 percent or high-/medium-level special needs. This service is offered for at least 12 hours per day for up to 6 months per year or up to five days per week indefinitely.

Short-term social care fees


         1. Social care fee per person is EUR 1250,00;

         2. Social care fee per person with severe disability is EUR 1350,00.

Short-term care is provided and financed on the basis of either a commercial contract concluded between a person who receives the services or his/her guardian/caregiver and the care home, or, following the decision of the municipality, a contract concluded between a person who receives the services or his/her guardian/caregiver, the municipality and the care home.

 

        3. The planned number of places approved by the Ministry of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania is 10.
